The Alapaha Research Center is official registry of the Lana Lou Lane® Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog. This registry is dedicated to preserving and promoting the original Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog as envisioned by the late Lana Lou Lane®, the founder of the breed.

The LLL Alapaha Bulldog is THE bulldog from the South Georgia Alapaha River region. The dogs were used during the plantation days as watchdogs, working livestock dogs, and they were family members.

The LLL Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog is athletic, intelligent, possessive, protective and defensive. They are a "down to earth" dog for the family and are excellent with children and other animals. The true Lana Lou Lane® Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog is of varying colors. Preferred colors are Blue Merle, Brown Merle, Red Merle or white, all trimmed in white or chocolate and white.
Also preferred is a glass (blue) eye or marble (mixed brown & blue) eyes.

If pure foundation breeding & breed qualtiy is important to you, or if you wish to breed your own dogs, be sure to only purchase dogs that are registered with the Alapaha Research Center.
